First Friday Science Lecture Series presents 'Trans-Pecos Pronghorn Restoration Project' Friday, May 04, 2018

Join the Midland College Math, Science & Kinesiology Division for the May installment of its Frist Friday Science Lecture Series featuring Shawn Gray with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. 

Shawn Gray is the leader of the Trans-Pecos Pronghorn Rstoration Project, a collaborative work involving Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Sul Ross State University and private landowners. This 6-year project involves the capture of pronghorn in the panhandle region, fitting them with GPS, and then releasing them in the Trans-Pecos area. There have been extensive efforts to restore habitat and monitor pronghorn movements in the Trans-Pecos area to bring the population back numbers approaching historic levels. 

The public is invited to this FREE lecture. You may bring your lunch or purchase one in the Scharbauer Student Center grill.
