Types of Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Department at Midland College processes a variety of tuition, fee, books, and supplies funding. Most funding sources do not require the student to pay back any money. There are a few (such as loans) that will required repayment once the student leaves higher ed. Please review the categories below to find out about different funding sources that students can access to cover their college expenses.
Periodically the Higher Education Act is reauthorized and changes are made to the regulations governing Title IV Federal Financial Aid such as the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) and Federal Direct Loan Programs. The new rules governing the administration of these programs went into effect with the Fall 2011 semester.
