    This Wellness Wednesday, we teamed up with Texas Tech Physicians with and their Mental Munchies series.

  • SLI Book Club | The Unhappiest One: Finding Joy on my Journey to Purpose
    Join the Student Leadership Institute (SLI) and Sigma Kappa Delta in reading, The Unhappiest One: Finding Joy on my Journey to Purpose, by Dia Covington Wall, in anticipation of her Let's Get Happy, feature presentation for the Midland College campus community next month.
    Reading Period: October 11-29. Registration is free for current students, and includes book and workbook.

MC Student Leadership Institute

The Office of Student Activities is launching the Midland College Student Leadership Institute this fall with a mission of, “creating a culture of connectedness, collaboration, and community” (Campbellville Univ., 2019), by inspiring and empowering students to take active roles in influencing and shaping educational and co-curricular experiences.

The MC Student Leadership Institute offers a series of workshops addressing key topics in student leadership development. Explore your leadership potential by participating in the upcoming leadership building opportunities.

MC Recognized Clubs/Organizations function according to the following participation levels:
 

Requirements

  • Attend at least one weekly SGA meeting per month
  • Attend Quarterly President’s Council Meetings
  • Meet at least one Student Activity student learning outcome
  • Engage in at least one service project per academic year

Benefits

  • Participation in Chaps Connect
  • Complimentary use of campus meeting and event space (subject to availability)

Campus posting of promotional materials

  • Featured on the MC website as a recognized body

Become a Recognized Club/Organization

  1. Identify at least 7 current MC students interested in forming the club/organization
  2. Construct club/organization Constitution/Bylaws  (EXAMPLE)
  3. Select student learning outcome according to participation level; and determine anticipated program toward its fulfillment
  4. Submit Club/Organization Registration application
