The F. Marie Hall SimLife Center at Midland College
A unique venture uniting area colleges and medical centers led to the creation of a state-of-the-art simulation center on the Midland College campus. The F. Marie Hall SimLife Center is equipped with top of the line Laerdal and Gaumard products such as SimMan 3G, SimNewB babies, Nurse Anne training mannequins, Victoria birthing and HAL pediatric simulators. The lifelike capabilities of the products allow learners to experience “real-life” situations in a safe environment.
All varieties of healthcare students and professionals can practice providing care to these mannequins without the risk of harming anyone. Through the use of our state-of-the-art audio and video recording equipment participants are able to review their performance, learn, and grow.
INTERNATIONAL NURSING ASSOCIATION FOR CLINICAL SIMULATION AND LEARNING (INACSL) STANDARDS OF BEST PRACTICE: SIMULATION
The International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) has developed the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: SimulationSM. The INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation were designed to advance the science of simulation, share best practices, and provide evidence based guidelines for implementation and training.
INACSL provides a detailed process for evaluating and improving simulation operating procedures and delivery methods that every simulation team will benefit from. Adoption of the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation demonstrate a commitment to quality and implementation of rigorous evidence based practices in healthcare education to improve patient care by complying with practice standards in the following areas:

The F. Marie Hall SimLife Center at Midland College is named in honor and appreciation of F. Marie Hall. Her generous philanthropy and steadfast dedication have provided state-of-the-art educational opportunities for the citizens of West Texas. This 33,000 square foot center is an educational and clinical laboratory providing innovative instruction to students and healthcare professionals in a variety of medical fields.
