Complete FAFSA or TASFA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the application used to collect information to determine your eligibility for a Federal PELL Grant, Federal Work Study, Direct Loans and other State and local funding sources. To ease the application process, visit MC's Applying for Financial Aid/FAFSA page by clicking the link below. If familiar with the process, proceed to the FAFSA Application link.
The TASFA (Texas Application For State Financial Aid) is for students who are ineligible to fill out the FAFSA because they are not a U.S. Citizen or a permanent non-resident may be eligible to fill out the TASFA. Students must be a Texas resident, show financial need, and be enrolled at least half-time. Students should fill out completely and return the TASFA, as well as tax transcripts and/or federal tax returns to the Financial Aid office.
Eligibility is determined using federal methodology and is scaled depending on the student’s Estimated Family Contribution. Students can print out the instructions and application at the College for All Texans website.
TASFA Application Deadline
Fall – July 1
Spring – November 15
