Midland College is proud to announce that the Midland College First-Generation Ambassadors have been formally recognized by the State of Texas for their exemplary service, leadership, and philanthropic impact. State Representative Tom Craddick issued an official House Resolution honoring the group in celebration of National Philanthropy Day on November 18, 2025.

Midland College is proud to announce that sophomore golfer Scott Spark has been formally recognized by the State of Texas for his exceptional athletic accomplishments and contributions to the Midland College Chaparral Golf Team. A state resolution, authored by State Representative Tom Craddick, honors Spark for his impressive performance at the 2025 Grier Jones Shocker Invitational, where he finished in second place.

Midland College celebrated the grand opening of its new 1,830-square-foot Esports Arena, the largest of its kind in the Permian Basin. The event brought together students, faculty, staff, administration, and local gamers to experience the innovative space designed to support student success and prepare them for careers in gaming and related industries.

Midland College is proud to announce that its First-Generation Ambassador program has received the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Permian Basin Chapter during the organization's 31st celebration of National Philanthropy Day. This prestigious award recognizes youth or youth groups under 21 for exceptional commitment to learning about and practicing philanthropy, supporting community initiatives, and inspiring others to engage in giving.
