The MC Math, Science & Kinesiology Division hosts its monthly First Friday Science lecture presented by John Garza, Ph.D.

Google's Tensor Flow project together with free open source tools like Python, R, Rstudio and datacamp.com have created a new pathway for aspiring scientists, analysts and engineers to reach new heights in predictive analytics and data visualization.  This one-hour seminar will introduce the audience to Google's Tensor Flow project, the Rstudio IDE, datacamp.com and how college students are using these resources to advance their analytics skills.

Dr. Garza is a tenure track mathematics professor at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and is an adjunct mathematics instructor at MC.  He earned his Ph.D. from UT-Austin in Abstract Algebra and is also an associate of the Society of Actuaries.

MC students, employees and the public are invited to attend this FREE event.  You are welcome to bring your lunch or purchase one from the Scharbauer Student Center grill.
