Thad J. Anglin, Ed.D. is currently serving as the 12th President and CEO of Cisco College.  He is completing his seventh year.  Dr. Anglin holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Sul Ross State University, a Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, and a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  Dr. Anglin’s 30-years of experience in higher education includes both four-year universities and two-year community colleges in academic affairs, enrollment management, and student services.  

Prior to beginning his tenure as President at Cisco College, Dr. Anglin served as Associate Provost for Academic Excellence and Outreach at the University of North Texas at Dallas.  Throughout his career in higher education, Dr. Anglin has served in various leadership roles in academic affairs, enrollment management, and student services.  His leadership continues to produce enrollment growth, as well as, increases in student retention and success rates.  In addition, his leadership has led to the development of new academic and workforce programs, improvements in transfer pathways with four-year university partners, increases in dual credit enrollment with school district partners, and increases in graduation rates.

Dr. Anglin is a student-success-oriented, collaborative, innovative, engaged, and passionate leader with a broad range of experiences in higher education.  He strives to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed, faculty and staff are able to develop themselves professionally, businesses and industry leaders are supported in developing a strong labor force, and local/regional economies grow.  Dr. Anglin is an active member of the Cisco Rotary, Masonic Lodge, Abilene Workforce Solutions, Abilene Chamber of Commerce, West Central Texas Council of Governments, Economic Development Corporation, and serves as a member of the Texas Association of Community Colleges.  

Dr. Anglin and his wife, Sharon, have been married for 36-years and are blessed with two daughters, a son, and a grandson.  They enjoy activities with their church and community.
