West Texas Conference on Aging

On Tuesday, March 6, Midland College (MC) will once again partner with various nonprofit agencies to offer the annual West Texas Conference on Aging.  MC is licensed to offer 7 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to participants.  The conference will be held at Golf Course Road Church of Christ, 3500 W. Golf Course Road, in Midland from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  Early registration fee of $50 is available until February 23.  Registration fee after February 23 is $75.

 “This is our 20^th year to host this popular, one-day conference for Permian Basin residents,” said Wendy Wood Collins, director of MC Health Sciences Continuing Education.  “The conference is for anyone who wants to know more about the aging process, how to communicate with senior citizens and issues facing older Americans.  We especially encourage social workers, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, chemical dependency counselors, long-term care activity directors, certified nurse aides and other geriatric-centered healthcare professionals to attend.”
