Lady Chaparral Softball at NJCAA Region 5 West Tournament Friday, May 13, 2022

The Midland College Lady Chaparral softball team concluded the regular season and now focus their sights on the upcoming NJCAA Region 5 West Tournament in Lubbock.

The tournament takes place May 13-15 at the Maner Softball Complex on the Lubbock Christian University campus, 5601 19th St, Lubbock, Texas.

The Region 5 West Tournament brings together the top six WJCAC teams in a double-elimination event with the champion qualifying for the NJCAA Division I Softball Tournament (May 24-28, 2022) in Yuma, AZ.

Friday's action begins at 12:30 p.m. with Clarendon College (16-26) versus Western Texas College (24-24), followed by Frank Phillips College (12-36) and Midland College at 3:00 p.m.  The CC/WTC winner will advance to take on Odessa College (48-4) on Friday at 5:30 p.m.  with the winner of the FPC/MC moving on to play Howard College (37-9) on Friday at 8:00 p.m.  MC split their conference series with Frank Phillips, in Borger, with two wins each.
