Midland College (MC) once again partners with various nonprofit agencies to offer the annual West Texas Conference on Aging.  MC is licensed to offer 7 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to participants, which includes 1.5 hours of Ethics credit.  The conference will be held at Golf Course Road Church of Christ, 3500 W. Golf Course Road, in Midland from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  Registration fee is $75 at the door.  The fee includes a catered lunch

“We have hosted this popular, one-day conference for over 20 years to Permian Basin residents,” said Wendy Wood Collins, associate dean of Health Sciences Dual Credit and Continuing Education.  “The conference is for anyone who wants to know more about the aging process, how to communicate with senior citizens and issues facing older Americans.  We especially encourage social workers, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, chemical dependency counselors, long-term care activity directors, certified nurse aides and other geriatric-centered healthcare professionals to attend.”
