Midland College is proud to announce it will host two Spring Commencement Ceremonies
on Saturday, May 10, celebrating the accomplishments of students who have earned associate
degrees, bachelor's degrees, or workforce certificates.
Each spring, the Midland College Commencement Ceremony honors students from all walks
of life who have reached academic milestones — often while juggling jobs, family responsibilities,
and other real-world challenges. This year’s two-ceremony format reflects the college’s
recent enrollment growth and its dedication to supporting student goals across academic
and technical programs.
“This spring marks one of the largest groups of eligible graduates in Midland College’s
recent history,” said Joseph Granado, Midland College Vice President of Student Services.
“It’s a strong signal that more students are achieving their academic and career goals,
and that MC is playing a vital role in providing the credentialed workforce our region
and state urgently need.”
The morning ceremony at 10 a.m. will honor students earning associate and bachelor’s
degrees, while the 3 p.m. ceremony will recognize those earning workforce certificates.
Both ceremonies will take place in the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center. Doors open
one hour prior to each ceremony. Graduates may bring up to 10 guests, and parking
is free. Both ceremonies will also be livestreamed for family and friends who are
unable to attend in person.
At Midland College, student success goes far beyond the classroom. Through hands-on
learning, dedicated faculty support, and strong partnerships with employers and universities,
MC prepares students for real-world success. Whether graduates are transferring to
a university or entering high-demand fields, they are equipped with the skills and
training to make an immediate impact.
