Supporting First-Generation Students: How MC is Making a Difference with New Initiatives

Midland College has undertaken a deliberate effort to recognize and offer support to First Generation college students through our recently established First Generation Student Success Initiatives. In doing so, MC strives to align vision with action by augmenting pillars of our strategic plan to serve West Texas.

Midland College Recognizes Adjunct Faculty Member for Teaching Excellence

Dr. Todd Houck, Professor of History and Henry Chair at Midland College, recently presented the Social & Behavioral Sciences & Business Division Adjunct Teaching Excellence Award to Jennifer Young in recognition of her outstanding service and dedication to the Midland College History Department. This award celebrates teaching excellence by part-time instructors within the division, highlighting their invaluable contributions to student success.

Midland College to Host Legacy Scholarship Info Sessions for Students

Midland College will host a series of Legacy Scholarship Info Sessions to provide students with an opportunity to apply for the Legacy Scholars Program, which offers full-tuition scholarships along with support services aimed at student success.
