Relax, take a break and enjoy the amazingly talented Cassatt Quartet, 2nd floor of the Fasken Learning Resource Center. They will perform selections from Beethoven Quartet Op. 18, no. 6 in honor of the Texas Liberators exhibit, currently displaying on the 2nd Floor of the Midland College Fasken Learning Resource Center.

The Cassatt String Quartet was founded in 1985 by four young artists at Juilliard who were inspired by the work of artist Mary Cassatt.  They are based in New York City and have performed at New York's Alice Tully Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Tanglewood Music Theater, the Kennedy Center and Library of Congress in Washington, DC.  Internationally, the quartet has taken the stage at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris, Maeda Hall in Tokyo, The American Academy in Rome, the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City and the Festival de Musica de Camera in San Miguel de Allende.

The FREE performance is open to the public and is part of the Cassatt String Quartet's 14th bi-annual residency sponsored by the FMH Foundation, Permian Basin Youth Chaverim, Odessa Arts, the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the Odessa American and Jim's Big & Tall Men's Shop.
