Over 140 little monsters, ghosts, witches and superheroes, ages 4 months to 5 years old, will be taking over Midland College (MC) for trick-or-treating Friday, October 29 from 2:30 – 4:45 p.m.

“Students have been talking about Halloween for some time now,” Lori Smith, Principal, Pre-K Academy at MC said. “They are so proud of their costumes. We are so happy to provide them a safe outdoor trick-or-treating environment.”

First up at 2:30 p.m. students from the Pre-Kindergarten Academy at MC will make their way around the MC quad showing off their costumes and collecting treats. Students’ parents are also invited to come along.

Then, at 3:30 p.m. children from the MC Helen L. Greathouse Children’s Center will have their turn. Parents will be with these children and are welcome to get into the spirit by dressing up as well.

“It is so adorable to see our infants and toddlers walking or being pushed in strollers around campus in their outfits,” said Tayna Frantz, Director, Helen L. Greathouse Children’s Center. “All the kids are looking forward to exploring the campus and seeing each other’s costumes!”

MC faculty and staff will meet at central locations with treats for the children.

“MC employees missed having this trick or treat event last year because of COVID,” Jaclynn Torres, MC director Marketing & Communication said. “MC faculty and staff are so excited to see the children in their costumes. We are ready to spoil them with treats!”
