Midland College Foundation and Midland Memorial Foundation host estate planning seminar October 08, 2021

The 2021 Estate Planning seminar will be held Oct. 21 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on the MC Main campus in the Scharbauer Student Center Carrasco Room or virtually via Zoom. All in-person seating is limited. For those attending, social distancing will be enforced, and MC strongly encourages face coverings/masks for the safety of all guests.

Professional development credit will be issued to attorneys and Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) through the MC Workforce Continuing Education department.

  • Disclaimers in estate planning 
  • Funding trusts
  • Trust administration 
  • Life insurance planning in an unprecedented environment 
  • Tax planning ideas for higher income taxpayers

    Presenters include experts in estate planning and planned giving from throughout the state.  For a complete list of presenters and to register, visit the MC website.  Details, including an optional Zoom link, will be emailed to registered participants approximately one week before the event.

The MC Foundation, created in 1973, directs major gift fundraising activities for MC and provides asset management services in support of educational excellence at MC. It serves donors (individuals, corporations, and organizations) and the college (administrators, faculty, staff, and students). It is responsible for soliciting, receipting, acknowledging, and managing endowments and other gifts, and disbursing funds to benefit educational service programs at MC. The foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation.

The Midland Memorial Foundation, created in 1945, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for the benefit of Midland Memorial Hospital. Its primary mission is to help promote and maintain excellence in the delivery of health care in Midland. Since Midland Memorial Hospital opened in 1950, the foundation has been active in securing additional gifts for the expansion of the physical plants, purchase of new equipment and initiation of valuable new programs and services.
