A group of Midland College students is studying perspective and the role that it plays in various cultures.  This is a collaborative effort, involving many different layers of people in various roles.  As this project is focused on analyzing perspective, the students are interested in seeing what people in the local area consider to be beautiful or worthy of being photographed. The students wish to employ the assistance of citizens within the Permian Basin and beyond to help in a compilation of photos showcasing different landscapes and sites.  Photos can be of local places, popular destinations within the state or country, or even of locations in foreign countries.  The more diverse and unique, the better.

This project is designed to engage students to think critically, explore the world through many different lenses and work together in order to create something lasting for the community.  In January, the students’ findings will be on exhibit at Midland College.

If you would like to submit photos to be considered for use in the exhibit, please submit to projectbeautyis@gmail.com or share on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #projectbeautyis from Monday, November 13 to Sunday, November 19.
