Midland College and West Texas A&M University recognized three Midland College students as West Texas Community College Scholars. On Tuesday, May 16, Midland College President Dr. Steve Thomas presented certificates and cords to Elsy Chavez, Maria Gomez and Mirella Gomez to commemorate this honor.

Community college presidents select students for this recognition to honor those who have demonstrated exemplary work in their studies and service to their community college. To be eligible for this honor, students must have demonstrated high integrity, motivation and hard work and be in good academic standing.
