Midland College (MC) Kids’ College features a special class this year called “Drones – New Heights with Flying and Coding” instructed by the team from Venture Robotics in Midland.  The class is intended for children completing the 4th through 6th grades and is designed so that participants can fly small drones and learn about the mechanics of flying drones.  The two-week course includes actual drones, flight simulators and introduction to computer coding for drones.

On Wednesday, June 21, at 3:40 pm in the parking lot of the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center, the class will feature a drone demonstration from Thermal Cam.  Thermal Cam is an AI-based drone service company headquartered in Midland that provides oil & gas inspection programs, risk management, insurance claim disaster assessments and detection services for methane leaks, solar panels and wind blades.
