Midland College (MC) is pleased to announce that Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society selected three students—Maria Gonzalez, Nathan Nash and Carlos Torres--to the 2023 All-Texas Academic Team.  On Thursday, April 6, the students, along with MC Honors Program Director Dr. Terry Gilmour, will attend the All-Texas Academic Team medallion ceremony at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Gonzalez, Nash and Torres will represent Midland College at the event honoring outstanding community college students from the 50 community college districts in Texas.  The All-Texas Academic Team is sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, the University of Texas System and Texas Association of Community Colleges.

“We are very proud of these students,” MC President Dr. Steve Thomas said.  “They will all graduate in May and have worked hard to excel in academics, leadership and community service.  Members of the All-Texas Academic Team represent the best and brightest students in Texas community colleges.”
