On Thursday, March 28, Midland College’s Chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta (SKD), the English
honor society for two-year colleges, inducted 46 new members. Midland College now
proudly boasts 62 active members who have completed a total of 212 hours of community
service related to advancing reading, writing and literature in the Midland community.
In addition, the National Sigma Kappa Delta organization awarded MC Chapter President
Aimee Breeden with a service scholarship. Breeden received the scholarship at the
national SKD convention held March 27-30 in St. Louis, MO. Also during the convention,
Midland College SKD advisors Stacy and Brendan Egan were acknowledged with certificates
of appreciation for serving as SKD advisors for 5 years.
