Aimee  McBrideInstructor, Art

Aimee realized her interests in art, specifically art history, her freshman year of college. She was a biology major and “was rather bored with the classes.” However, as a requirement, she took art appreciation and then art history and discovered her enthusiasm for the subject. As a student she took classes online and traditional formats and enjoyed them for different reasons. The same applies to teaching. Face-to-face has good points, but so do online courses. Since she usually teaches a night class, she feels that getting students up, moving, and talking is important. Otherwise, it leads to a long, boring, and drawn out lecture.

She is happiest reading a book by a pool. #1 on her bucket list is a return to Venice to see the next Biennale. She is already saving for it.
