As someone who has spent time behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle, trained over 200 students as a CDL instructor, and now leads the Transportation Training Program at Midland College, I've seen firsthand what separates a qualified driver from someone who simply knows how to pass a CDL test. They consider it a responsibility, not just a license. After all, an 80,000-pound vehicle doesn't leave much room for mistakes.

Diamondback Energy is expanding its long-standing commitment to Midland College through a $1,067,250 philanthropic investment in the Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) and Automation program. The gift builds on Diamondback's mentorship program with Midland College, and strengthens workforce development, expands hands-on training, and grows mentorship opportunities for students preparing to enter the energy workforce.
