Midland College is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $70,000 grant through the Carl D. Perkins Excellence in Access and Opportunity Program. This funding will support the launch of a new childcare assistance program specifically designed to help first-generation college students enrolled full-time in a Midland College Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathway.

“This grant reinforces Midland College’s commitment to breaking down barriers and providing access to education for all students,” said MC President Dr. Damon Kennedy. “By offering childcare assistance, we’re enabling first-generation students to focus on their studies and invest in their future careers while ensuring their children are cared for in a safe, nurturing environment.”

Midland College is committed to investing in student success and providing opportunities for all individuals to achieve their educational and career goals. For more information on how MC can help you achieve your goals, please visit our Financial Aid webpage
