Midland College is proud to announce the next installment of the Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series, featuring Anna Maria Chávez, former CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA, transformational leadership expert, and recognized by Fortune as one of the "50 Greatest Leaders." The free community event will take place Thursday, March 26, from 7-8 p.m. at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center.

Midland College announces that it will offer tours of the Pre-K Academy at MC on March 18, March 25, April 8, and April 25, 2025, from 4:30 to 5 p.m. These tours will give prospective parents and families the opportunity to explore the facility, meet with staff, and learn more about the programs available for three- and four-year-old children.

Having a Pre-K on a college campus creates a unique learning environment where the youngest students, our teacher candidates, and even faculty interact in ways that benefit everyone. I often walk past our Pre-K classrooms and catch a glimpse of a child's eyes lighting up when they figure something out, or a future teacher kneeling on the carpet, guiding a student through a challenging activity. Those moments are priceless, and they happen every day.

The Midland College Chaparrals baseball program will celebrate a milestone season in 2026, marking 25 years of competition, as the team opens the year ranked No. 25 in the NJCAA Division I Preseason Poll.
