Midland College Foundation and Midland Memorial Foundation to Host Estate Planning Seminar Nov. 12

The Midland College Foundation and Midland Memorial Foundation will host the 2026 Estate Planning Seminar on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Carrasco Room of the Scharbauer Student Center at Midland College. Sponsored by the Midland Odessa Business and Estate Council (MOBEC), the seminar will bring together attorneys, accountants, certified financial planners and community members to explore estate-planning issues affecting families and businesses throughout the Permian Basin.

Midland College Awarded $319,043 Grant to Expand Automotive Technician Training

Midland College (MC) has been awarded a $319,043 Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to strengthen its Automotive Technology program and support training for 420 students pursuing careers as automotive service technicians and mechanics.

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, MC Cosmetology students are offering pink hair extensions for $5 cash, with all proceeds benefiting Permian Basin Gifts of Hope. The nonprofit provides support and resources to cancer patients throughout the Permian Basin.
