Midland apartment rents rising, but affordable Midland College family units availableNovember 01, 2021

According to apartments.com the average rent in Midland is anywhere from $795 to as much as $1,480, depending on the location and size of the apartment, whereas the rent for a MC family unit is only $600 a month. 

Rent for an MC family unit includes all utilities, basic cable, high speed internet, wireless internet, local phone, maintenance and grounds upkeep. Family units are 2 bed/2 bath and can house up to 4 family members. All children living in the units must be under 18 years old. The family units are available to families with at least one person enrolled full-time (12 hours) at MC. 

Units come with central air conditioning and heat, convenient on-site laundry facilities and a refrigerator and stove. Residents supply their own furniture. 

“We are proud to offer families a place to live as they start and continue their educational journey at MC,” Ty Soliz, Director of Residence Life and Accommodations, said. “There are so many benefits to our family units such as price and inclusions like utilities. In addition, research shows that students who live on campus have higher GPAs. Residents are also within walking distance to classes, so they do not have to worry about being late, travel time or finding a parking space.”
