Midland College to Host Future Chaps Fairs to Help Incoming Students Get College-ReadyJune 17, 2025

Midland College is making it easier than ever for incoming students to prepare for a successful first day of class with its upcoming Future Chaps Fairs, scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 and Tuesday, July 15, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Scharbauer Student Center on the main campus.

These one-stop-shop events are designed to help new and returning students navigate essential college services and ensure they’re fully prepared for the semester ahead, without the stress or confusion that sometimes comes with starting college.

“We want students to feel confident and excited, not overwhelmed,” said Megan Brincks, Midland College Dean of Recruitment & Student Aid. “The Future Chaps Fair is all about streamlining the process and offering students personalized support before day one.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to complete or get assistance with:

• Class registration and academic advising
• Financial aid applications and scholarship information
• First-generation student support programs
• Housing and residential life info
• Student ID and parking pass pick-up
• TSI testing resources
• Campus tours and orientation help
• Veterans services 
• Accommodations and academic support services
• Career Center and Dual Credit information

The event is open to all students who plan to attend Midland College in the upcoming academic year, including high school graduates, transfer students, adult learners, and dual credit participants.

“There’s no better way to get your questions answered, meet the people who are here to support you, and take care of important steps all in one afternoon,” Brincks added.
