Midland College Testing Center Earns National CertificationJuly 27, 2026

Midland College is proud to announce that its Testing Center has been awarded Test Center Certification by the National College Testing Association (NCTA), a distinction that recognizes excellence in test administration and a commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards in testing services.

The certification is awarded to college and university testing centers that demonstrate exemplary practices in the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality testing programs. The Midland College Testing Center joins a growing number of certified testing centers across the United States and around the world that have completed the rigorous certification process.

"Receiving NCTA certification reflects our ongoing commitment to providing students and community members with a secure, reliable, and supportive testing environment," said Jeremy Martinez, Director of the Midland College Testing Center. "This recognition validates the hard work of our team and our dedication to upholding the highest standards of test administration, security, and customer service."

The certification process takes approximately six months to complete and evaluates testing centers against the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines. Areas of review include testing facility operations, test integrity and security measures, confidentiality practices, staff training, and overall quality of service. The certification is valid for five years and may be renewed through continued compliance with national standards.

The certification comes as the Midland College Testing Center continues to serve as a critical resource for students and community members pursuing educational and professional goals. In the 2025-2026 school year alone, the Testing Center facilitated more than 5,000 testing appointments, including nearly 2,000 TSI assessments, more than 1,200 GED testing appointments, and hundreds of professional certification and licensure exams spanning industries such as health care, cosmetology, automotive technology, real estate, insurance, and information technology.

"This certification demonstrates Midland College's commitment to excellence and reinforces the confidence students, faculty, and community members can place in the Testing Center and its staff."

The National College Testing Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting professionalism and high-quality service in the administration of testing programs. NCTA membership includes more than 2,200 testing professionals representing over 650 colleges and universities, as well as testing companies and organizations that support the assessment industry.
