Diamondback Energy Invests $1 Million in Midland College’s Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) and Automation Program July 28, 2026

Diamondback Energy is expanding its long-standing commitment to Midland College through a $1,067,250 philanthropic investment in the Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) and Automation program. The gift builds on Diamondback’s mentorship program with Midland College, and strengthens workforce development, expands hands-on training, and grows mentorship opportunities for 
students preparing to enter the energy workforce.

“Diamondback’s continued support prepares our students for success after graduation through practical, hands-on learning,” said Damon Kennedy, president of Midland College. “These new resources will create an even stronger bridge from the classroom to the field, giving students confidence, connections, and support they need to launch their careers right here in the Permian Basin.”
