![]() Diamondback Energy is expanding its long-standing commitment to Midland College through a $1,067,250
philanthropic investment in the Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) and Automation
program. The gift builds on Diamondback’s mentorship program with Midland College,
and strengthens workforce development, expands hands-on training, and grows mentorship
opportunities for “Diamondback’s continued support prepares our students for success after graduation through practical, hands-on learning,” said Damon Kennedy, president of Midland College. “These new resources will create an even stronger bridge from the classroom to the field, giving students confidence, connections, and support they need to launch their careers right here in the Permian Basin.” “By building on an established mentorship program that places industry professionals directly in the classroom, this donation will further equip students with modern, field-relevant equipment and training, ensuring graduates are job-ready upon graduation,” said Kaes Van’t Hof, chief executive officer of Diamondback Energy. “We’re honored to align with Midland College to provide the next generation of our industry with vibrant career opportunities and preparation necessary to make a difference on day one.” Diamondback’s 2026-27 education initiatives provide resources, mentorship, and growth opportunities to students, educators, and classrooms across the Permian Basin. |
