Midland College is proud to announce the induction of 31 new members into the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society during a special ceremony held on February 23, 2026. The prestigious honor society recognizes and celebrates academic excellence and leadership among two-year college students.

Phi Theta Kappa is the world’s largest and most prestigious honor society for two-year college students. Founded in 1918, the organization recognizes and encourages academic achievement while providing opportunities to develop leadership and service skills that extend beyond the classroom.

The newly inducted members, selected for their outstanding academic achievement and dedication to service, now join a global network of scholars committed to excellence in higher education. Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunities for leadership development, scholarship, and meaningful community engagement.

“We are proud to celebrate these students and their commitment to academic excellence,” said Dr. Terry Gilmour, Advisor and Division 1 Coordinator for Phi Theta Kappa. “As we celebrate 50 years of Phi Theta Kappa at Midland College, it’s especially meaningful to welcome a new group of scholars who will carry forward the tradition of leadership and service that has defined our chapter for decades.”
