Filing the FAFSA®: Your First Step Toward College Support

Every year, I get the same question from students: "Do I really need to fill out the FAFSA®?" And my answer is always the same: "Absolutely, yes!" On Oct. 1, 2025, the 2026-2027 FAFSA® (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will officially open. This single application is the gateway to nearly every type of financial aid available, from scholarships and grants, to work-study funds and student loans.

Midland College Cosmetology Raises Awareness with Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Throughout October 2025, Midland College Cosmetology students are raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering pink hair extensions to the community. Each extension costs $5 (cash only), with proceeds benefiting Permian Basin Gifts of Hope Midland, a local organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Midland College to Host West Texas Food Bank's Produce Roadshow

Midland College is proud to partner once again with the West Texas Food Bank to host the Produce Roadshow on Monday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the June and Frank Cowden, Jr. Dining Hall on the MC campus.
