This personal enrichment continuing education class focuses on a study of the operas to be presented by the Metropolitan Opera in their Live in HD transmissions to the local movie theaters in October, November and January.  The operas are Anna Bolena, Thais, Tannhauser and Les Troyens.

Instructor James Camp will help students enhance their opera experience through education about the composers, history at the time of the composition, the opera libretto (story), drama and music--vocal and instrumental.

Opera is a story told through the unique union of singing, action and music, which together evoke varying emotions.

Class meets on Thursday evenings, September 30-November 18, from 6:30-9:00 p.m.

Cost $55

Room location will be given to students after registration.
