Midland College to Host FAFSA and TASFA Info Sessions at Cogdell Learning CenterOctober 13, 2025

Midland College will host two information sessions to help students and families navigate the 2026-2027 FAFSA and TASFA financial aid process for the next academic year. The sessions will take place on Thursday, October 23, and Wednesday, November 12, from 9-11 a.m. at the Cogdell Learning Center Annex Building, 201 W. Florida Ave.

These FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid) Info Sessions are open to anyone seeking guidance on applying for financial aid. Attendees will learn about eligibility requirements, required documents, and how to accurately complete their applications to maximize potential funding opportunities.

“Applying for financial aid can sometimes feel overwhelming,” said Yolanda Ramos, Director of Financial Aid at Midland College. “These sessions are designed to make the process easier by providing hands-on assistance and clear explanations. We want every student, regardless of background or circumstance, to understand the resources available to help them achieve their education goals.”

Students and families are encouraged to bring the following items to the sessions:

• 2024 tax returns and W-2 forms (for both student and parent, if applicable)
• Social Security numbers (if applicable)
• Driver’s license or state ID

Financial Aid staff will be available to answer questions and provide one-on-one support throughout the sessions. Asistencia disponible en español.
