Midland College is proud to announce that Savannah Luna, an exceptional student in the Aviation Maintenance Program, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Midland West Rotary Club.

Savannah is steadily working toward completing her Airframe and Powerplant certificates in August 2026 and plans to continue her education by pursuing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Aviation Maintenance. A dedicated and high-achieving student, she has also earned a place on the President’s List, recognizing her outstanding academic performance.

In addition to her achievements in the classroom, Savannah is gaining hands-on industry experience through her part-time position with American Patrols Inc. There, she applies her growing technical skills to real-world aircraft maintenance operations. Upon earning her FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications, she hopes to transition into a full-time role with the company.

"Savannah’s commitment, professionalism, and academic excellence reflect the strength and potential of Midland College students," said Pete Avalos, MC's Dean of Applied Technology.
"We are honored to celebrate her accomplishments."

Midland College extends its sincere appreciation to the Midland West Rotary Club for its continued support of our Applied Technology programs and the students who drive them forward.
