2024 Kids’ College Registration Now Open, Showcases New Weekly ScheduleMarch 26, 2024

Midland, Texas: Midland College is proud to announce that registration for the 2024 Kids' College, a summer enrichment program where children can come to play, have fun, and experience the joy of learning in a safe environment, is now open. It is open to students who will be completing the first through sixth grade this spring. 

This year’s Kids’ College has a new format that will allow kids to take part in a variety of different courses. Running Monday through Thursday afternoons from 1 p.m. - 4:45 p.m., this year’s schedule is broken down into the following weekly sessions:

Week 1: June 3-6
Week 2: June 10-13 
Week 3: June 17-20
Week 4: June 24-27

The 2024 Kids’ College four-week program offers more than 25 courses for kids and parents to choose from, including sessions teaching arts, language, sports, STEM, computer coding, math, reading, and robots. This year’s program also includes special sessions from partnering vendors Black Rocket, Ninja House and Science Mill. 

Limited scholarships will be available and based on the needs of the student. A scholarship application must be completed and submitted to the Kids’ College office. A link to the scholarship application is on the website, www.midland.edu/kidscollege.

“We are excited about this summer’s Kids’ College.” said Midland College Director of Community Programs Kori Chisham. “We have added some new courses and activities, plus we have some of the favorite courses returning.  We also hope that our new weekly schedule will allow for more children to join us and will help parents with their summer plans!”

“When my family moved to Midland 18 years ago, school was already winding down,” said Midland College Executive Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations Karisa Danley. “One of the first pieces of advice from our friends was, ‘You have to get your kids in Kids’ College!’ The Kids’ College team does a great job of planning classes kids love and parents feel good about – fun and learning! Kids’ College became part of our summer routine every year. ”
