Spring 2021 College Classics and Personal Enrichment coursesJanuary 21, 2021
College Classics courses offer residents ages 50+ a wide range of course categories, such as ancient Sparta, U.S. Mexican immigration policies, current law enforcement topics, plus more. Classes are offered once a week for four weeks. One nominal fee of $25 allows students to sign up for multiple courses. Most College Classics courses are offered in a traditional classroom setting and have a limited number of spaces to ensure social distancing and COVID safety protocols. They are taught by Midland College faculty and community volunteers who want to share their time and expertise in a variety of areas. College Classics courses begin next week. For more information, visit the College Classics page on the MC website or call (432) 685-4518. Personal Enrichment courses offer short-term courses such as piano, sign language, digital photography, motorcycle safety training, retirement planning and much more. These courses are open to all ages. This semester, most Personal Enrichment courses are offered virtually and/or online. For many of the courses, students are able to choose instructor-led virtual courses or self-paced online courses. For more information, visit the Personal Enrichment page on the MC website or call (432) 685-4518. "These community service programs promote life-long learning," Associate Director of Community Programs Continuing Education Brenda Cordero said. "By continuing to introduce new classes, we hope to give people a chance to learn a new skill or to just have fun." |
