Midland College to Offer Pre-K Academy Tours This SpringFebruary 03, 2026
![]() Midland College announces that it will offer tours of the Pre-K Academy at MC on March 18, March 25, April 8, and April 25, 2025, from 4:30 to 5 p.m. These tours will give prospective parents and families the opportunity to explore the facility, meet with staff, and learn more about the programs available for three- and four-year-old children. The Pre-K Academy at Midland College is designed to provide young learners with a nurturing environment that prepares them for future academic success. The program is open to children who turn 3 or 4 on or before Sept. 1 of the academic year. In addition to the state-funded Pre-K option for qualifying families, the academy also accepts tuition-paying students at a rate of $700 per month. “We recognize the growing need in our community for high-quality early childhood education,” said Shelly Haney, Associate Vice President of Early Childhood and Dean of Education at Midland College. “The Pre-K Academy at MC provides a supportive, family-centered environment where experienced, passionate educators focus on building strong foundations that prepare young learners for success in kindergarten and beyond.” The Pre-K Academy follows an evidence-based, state-approved curriculum that emphasizes individualized support and nurturing adult-child interactions. This approach reflects Midland College’s commitment to providing access to high-quality education that leads to long-term student success. For working families, the Pre-K Academy also offers after-school care from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for an additional $250 per month. For tuition students, the after-school care is included. All students also receive breakfast, lunch, & a snack daily, and all school supplies are provided. Families only have to provide a blanket for nap time and a backpack. Families interested in enrolling their child are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming tours to learn more about the program, eligibility requirements, and required documents. Applications will open April 1.
