 Karen Pape

pape karenKaren Bingham Pape uses both her M. A. in English from UT-Permian Basin and her multi-published poetry writing to inform her enthusiastic teaching of Composition, Literature, and Fiction and Poetry Writing. Her poems have appeared in small press publications such as, Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review, and Maverick Press, and in on-line journals and blogs such as Red River Review, Words-Myth, bluepepper, and Perigee. She has read her work at conferences such as Southwestern ACA/PCA Pop Culture, ASU Annual Writers Conferences in Honor of Elmer Kelton, and Fort Concho Literary Festival, and has received writing awards, including second place in the Hilda Simmons Levitt competition and other undergraduate awards. She is assisted in all things poetic and intellectual by her black cat, Shadow.
