Brendan Egan

Brendan Egan teaches composition, literature and creative writing at Midland College. He was raised in Connecticut, near the coast of Long Island sound.  He earned an undergraduate degree at New York University where he studied Screenwriting and Playwriting.  He completed his master's degrees in Creative Writing and in English Literature at McNeese State University, where he taught composition as a graduate assistant, and was an Ada Vincent Scholar and a Dore Award Winner. Brendan's writing for the stage has been performed at Downtown Manhattan theaters and at the University of Connecticut and his play, Nine Moons, was selected as a semi-finalist for the Eugene O'Neill National Playwright's Conference.  His fiction and poetry has appeared in Threepenny Review, Quarterly West, Crab Orchard Review, The Diagram, The Georgetown Review and other literary journals. Brendan enjoys advising the Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society, along with his wife, Stacy, and being involved with the Honor's program at Midland College.
