- Ascertain that the needed item is not in the Fasken LRC collection.
Search
e-Library for the needed book or
journal.
- Ascertain that the needed item is not in TexShare
or any other databases available to Midland College students.
- Verify that you have the correct and complete
bibliographic information. Many items can be found once you get
the author's correct spelling and/or the exact title. For journal
articles verify that you have the journal's full title,
correct volume, pages, and dates. You can use the TexShare databases
as verification tools. (WorldCat for books, and other various
databases for journal articles).
- Check nearby libraries (search their online catalogs). It might
be faster for you to go to Midland County Library or UTPB for
photocopies of articles.
- Obtain and completely fill out an ILL transaction form for each
item needed. Provide as much information as possible, do not abbreviate.
