Stan Jacobs

Stan  JacobsAdjunct Instructor, Art

Stan Jacobs has been interested in art and teaching art since he taught his little sisters how to draw on the wall and make mud pies in the yard. He prefers to teach face-to-face in a traditional classroom. As a visual person, he likes to see people and converse in person.

His hobbies include: creating art and traveling. He loves to travel to faraway places and meet fascinating people. He has been to almost 60 countries and has drawn caricatures of people from many places. He is happiest when he is working, “because it is not work.” Over the years he has learned to scuba dive, tap dance, fly an airplane, and play the piano. His causes include: immigration, the criminal justice system, gun control, homelessness, and freedom of the press. His favorite vacation spot is Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. “It has everything.” Seeing the Aurora Borealis (northern lights) in Norway is at the top of his bucket list.
