Texas Partnership for AeroScience Education

TPAE

In March 2003 Texas Tech University, Midland College-WRTTC, Fredericksburg ISD, and The Pecos County/Westex Aerospace Development Center formed a partnership, to create an interest in the engineering, aero-science, and technology fields. TPAE is developing curriculum, with supporting workshops, to replicate and encourage interdisciplinary teaching and problem-based learning.

TPAE offers shared resources and efforts to increase and improve the Aeroscience and engineering education by collaborating in the following areas:

 

  • Curriculum development for K-12 institutions
  • Teacher Training/Professional Development
  • Expanding Existing Educational Programs
  • After School and Summer Programs for students
  • Recruitment opportunities
  • Teaching and Research Opportunities
  • Expand Industry Partnerships
  • Secure Funding
  • Vertical Alignment 2+2+2
  • Technical Certificate for aeroscience industry
  • Concurrent High School Program
