Texas Partnership for AeroScience Education
TPAE
In March 2003 Texas Tech University, Midland College-WRTTC, Fredericksburg ISD, and The Pecos County/Westex Aerospace Development Center formed a partnership, to create an interest in the engineering, aero-science, and technology fields. TPAE is developing curriculum, with supporting workshops, to replicate and encourage interdisciplinary teaching and problem-based learning.
TPAE offers shared resources and efforts to increase and improve the Aeroscience and engineering education by collaborating in the following areas:
- Curriculum development for K-12 institutions
- Teacher Training/Professional Development
- Expanding Existing Educational Programs
- After School and Summer Programs for students
- Recruitment opportunities
- Teaching and Research Opportunities
- Expand Industry Partnerships
- Secure Funding
- Vertical Alignment 2+2+2
- Technical Certificate for aeroscience industry
- Concurrent High School Program
