BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE
Hi, my name is Robert Weidmann, but I go by Bob. I have worked the field of Respiratory Care for the past 26 years. During that time I've been involved in all aspects of the field: general therapy (airway care, medical gas administration, humidity/aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, aerosol drug administration, hyperinflation therapy, and diagnostics), intensive care (neonatal, pediatric, adult), home care, diagnostics (arterial blood gases, PFTs, EKGs, Holter monitoring, Sleep Studies), air transports, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and education.
For the past 20 years, I've also been on the faculty of the Respiratory Care Program at Midland College. I previously held the position of Director of Clinical Education and currently hold the position of Program Director. I hold all five credentials offered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT, RRT, CPFT, RPFT, NPS). I am also certified as a CPR instructor, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider, and also Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, all with the American Heart Association.
FAMILY
I have a great family which consists of my WONDERFUL wife and five TERRIFIC kids (3 boys and 2 girls).
ACTIVITIES
I love sports of all kinds, both as a participant and as a spectator. My wife is continually working at increasing my cultural refinement exposure. We love to attend concerts, plays, museums, and exhibits. I am also involved with Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster.
