Robert Weidmann's Respiratory Care Courses

WELCOME

With Excellence and Concern

My mission is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful at school, home, and in the community. Student performance expectations will remain high and I will make sure that I provide an environment to meet those expectations. Different teaching styles will be employed to reach every student. I will give each student encouragement, understanding, and the time they need to have their questions answered and know that I care about them.

Robert Weidmann, BS, RPFT, RRT-NPS, RCP
Director, Respiratory Care Program

The curriculum that I will teaching this year includes first year classes: Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology, Respiratory Diseases, Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care, and Home Care/Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The second year classes that I teach are: Monitoring, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Specialties in Respiratory Care. I am also involved in the clinical aspects of the program, spending time at the clinical sites with students to help them master their objectives.

Our program is accredited by a branch of the American Medical Society, The Committee for the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), and The Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Once our students graduate they are eligible to take the Certified Respiratory Therapist Exam (Entry-Level), once that exam is passed they are also eligible to take the Registered Respiratory Therapist Exam (Advanced Practitioner).
