Mission Statement

The mission of the Midland College Veterinary Technology Program

is to train entry-level Veterinary Technicians in a two year

educational program with the skills and concepts consistent

with CVTEA guidelines.

We aim to provide Companion Animal Practices with qualified

Veterinary Technicians to enhance and simplify the

Veterinarians workload.

Veterinary Technology students have an adequate academic

background topass the National and State board exams and

become Registered Veterinary Technicians.

We promote the profession of Veterinary Technology

by providing activities and informational events for

our community, sponsored by our student chapter of NAVTA.

Did you know that Feburary is Dental Healthcare Month?

Tips on Home Care:

Feed a dental food to ensure your pet recieves good oral care every day.

Watch your pet for the warning signs of periodontal disease.

Inspect your pet's mouth regularly

If you brush your pet's teeth, it's best to introduce the practice gradually and early; training may take several weeks.

Never brush your pet's teeth with toothpaste designed for people.  It contains ingrediants that mayupset your pet's stomach.
