The Midland College University Center offers students multiple options for either beginning or completing their education. Programs and courses are now offered by six area universities: Texas Tech University, Lubbock Christian University, the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, Sul Ross State University, Angelo State University, and Howard Payne University.
These programs and courses are taught at the junior, senior, and graduate level, and complement and enhance Midland College offerings. Midland College also provides the capacity to deliver instruction electronically to its many distance learning sites in the West Texas region.
Midland College has separate agreements with each institution which provide funding for classroom utilization and maintenance. Midland College provides parking, security, library, and other student services. Students enroll with their respective institutions and are bound by their policies, as well as the policies of Midland College.
Currently, there is no special funding set aside for scholarships or financial aid for University Center students. Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid through their respective institutions.
Midland College is pleased to administer, coordinate, and support a unified effort to respond to changing and evolving student needs. Institutions of higher education that are interested in this kind of collaboration are invited to contact the Midland College University Center at
