Performance Indicators 1 & 2:
1. 50% of all faculty will participate in professional development regarding collaborative learning and other delivery systems by April 30, 2005.
2. At least 25% more faculty (full- and part-time) will have incorporated collaborative learning and other delivery systems when compare with the 1999-2000 baseline year.

Results:
Completed. Training was offered to all faculty via the following Title V sponsored/funded activities: Educator’s Exchange Presentation "Collaborative Learning in Study Abroad Programs"; CASP 2004 Conference; English Discoveries Training; Kinesiology - CAI/MAI cart delivery system; College Level ESL - 3M delivery system; ICTCM 2004 Conference; and ACVE "Boot Camp" Courses - Nomad delivery system.

A total of 32 faculty members participated in at least one activity. The faculty count for the 2004-2005 academic year included 116 full-time and 160 part-time (276 total). Therefore, 11.6% of faculty participated in professional development regarding collaborative learning and other delivery systems. These faculty were asked via survey to indicate whether, as a result of their training, they incorporated Collaborative Learning and other delivery methods into their courses during the 2004-2005 academic year. They were also asked to indicate whether they were teaching at Midland College during the 1999-2000 academic year and whether they incorporated some type of Collaborative Learning and/or other delivery methods into their courses at that time.

Of the 23 who responded to the survey, 82.6% (19) have reported that they have incorporated Collaborative Learning and other delivery methods into their courses during the 2004-2005 academic year, as a result of at least one of the above activities. This sampling also indicated that during the 1999-2000 baseline year, 4 had incorporated some form of Collaborative Learning and other delivery methods into their courses at that time. Using this measure, a 475% increase in the number of faculty incorporating Collaborative Learning and other delivery methods was realized.
