Title V and Midland College

Midland College Campus

Change... is occurring rapidly at Midland College.

In seeking the HSI-Title V Grant, Midland College President, Dr. David Daniel stated, "Some higher education professionals would say that students are not equipped for college. They are not "college material." Our responsibility is to stand ready to serve them at their level of need. We must meet them where they are before we can help them get to where they need to be. We must transform our programs and services to meet the challenges our student population brings to our classrooms and our campus."

About Us

HSI-Title V Grant is a grant that initiated new instructional strategies while addressing the complex and unique learning barriers of our student population. By addressing cultural and learning style diversity in instructional methodolgy and curriculum, Midland College and Title V created a learning environment conducive to highlighting the talents of our students rather than their differences. The HSI-Title V Grant focused on empowering faculty and staff with the information, skills, knowledge and resources to improve student success and retention.
