Emergency: 911          MCPD: (432) 685-4734 The mission of the Midland College Police Department is to maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.  It is our goal to assist you in any way possible.  Your safety is of great importance to us.  In keeping with this mission we provide many services to the public.

 

Battery Assistance

One of the services provided by the Midland College Police Department (MCPD) is battery assistance. When you get in your vehicle and find that the battery is dead, call 685-4734 and request assistance. Please tell us the make and model of your vehicle, the color and the license plate, and how long you will be with your vehicle. The response time will depend upon what MCPD is doing at the time of your request. Every effort will be made to provide a speedy response.

 

Please stay with your car, in a safe location. You will be required to sign a liability disclaimer before services are rendered. MCPD officers are not considered mechanics or experts in this field - we will attempt to start your vehicle, but there is no guarantee we will be successful. If you take issue with signing the disclaimer, please call off-campus vendors.

 

Locked Car Assistance

Another of the services provided by the MCPD is Locked Car Assistance. When you have discovered that you have locked your keys in your vehicle, call 685-4734 and request assistance. Please tell us the make and model of your vehicle, the color and the license plate, and how long you will be with your vehicle. The response time will depend upon what MCPD is doing at the time of your request. Every effort will be made to provide a speedy response.

 

This service is available only to current students and employees, and you must display a current Midland College ID.

Flat Tire Assistance

Another of the services provided by the MCPD is Flat Tire Assistance. When you have discovered that you have a flat tire on your vehicle, call 685-4734 and request assistance. Please tell us the make and model of your vehicle, the color and the license plate, and how long you will be with your vehicle. The response time will depend upon what MCPD is doing at the time of your request. Every effort will be made to provide a speedy response.

Fingerprint Service

The MCPD provides MC students, faculty and staff with fingerprinting services, which are required for a number of jobs and security-sensitive activities. Fingerprint cards are provided in this service. Fingerprints are taken Wednesdays, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the MCPD office. There is a fee which must be paid by cash or check only.
