The Chap Card
The Chap Card serves as a passport to college events, Student Government entertainment, Fine Arts Series programs, dances, movies and videotape series. It provides identification in the Murray Fasken Learning Resource Center (library) to enable enable students to check out materials and to use the computer labs available in the library and at the Midland College Advanced Technology Center. It is also required at the bookstore for scholarship identification. In addition, Chap Cards entitle students to discounts at various entertainment spots including the Midland Community Theater.
<font color="#ffffff">CHAP ID cards can be obtained in the Enrollment Services Office which is located in the Scharbauer Stduent Center.
Lost cards may be replaced in the Admissions office. A student’s fee receipt from registration is the only acceptable substitute. You will be charged a $25 fee to replace a lost Chap Card. Misplaced ID cards that have been turned in also are held in the Admissions office.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are entitled to receive a refund from the MC Cashiers Office or a residual check from the MC Financial Aid office, you must have an MC Chap Card or designate a direct deposit account.
Midland College and Herring Bank have teamed up to offer you a convenient, one-card solution with the Chap Card. The Chap Card is a multi-functional Student ID which allows you to open an optional checking account at Herring Bank that offers free access to Herring Bank ATMs and to make no-fee purchases at merchant locations that accept MasterCard or PIN-based transactions. It’s the easy way to access cash and make purchases on and off campus.
